Graduation of the First Group of Trainees of the Course on Monitoring, Analytics, and Financial Investigation
On January 27, 2017, at 13:00, at the University of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, under the patronage and with the participation of the Government of Estonia, the Ukrainian Association of Defense and Security Industries (UADSI), together with the Faculty for Training, Retraining, and Advanced Qualification of the Tax Police Officers of the University of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, held the official graduation ceremony of the first group of trainees of the course on monitoring, analytics, and financial investigation.
To support Ukraine in strengthening its anti-corruption efforts, the Government of Estonia provided 20 software licenses for VizKey free of charge to the Ukrainian Association of Defense and Security Industries.
The VizKey software is used to create analytical databases currently applied in financial investigations across Europe, and it allows for data exchange both domestically and internationally.
Based on the Memorandum of Cooperation between the UADSI, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, and the Faculty for Training, Retraining, and Advanced Qualification of the Tax Police Officers, Estonian specialists conducted training on the use of the software.
Participants included university professors, top-performing trainees, members of the UADSI Committee on Analytics and Anti-Corruption, and representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.
During the event, representatives of the Government of Estonia held the official license handover ceremony and presented diplomas to the graduates.
This event stands as a successful example of cooperation between state institutions, civil organizations of Ukraine, and a European government.
Since the Joint Committee on Analytics and Financial Investigation plans to carry out a series of anti-corruption investigations, as well as educational and informational initiatives in the fields of defense, security, and related industries, we hope that some of these activities may be implemented within the framework of existing programs in Ukraine.
In light of the above, we would be pleased to meet with you and your team to discuss possible directions of cooperation between our institutions.
If you are interested in such a meeting, please let us know the date and place convenient for you.
